Marriage contract of Qamar Sultan Khanum and Mirza Hasan Khan Mukarram al-Sultan, 1925
Marriage contract of Qamar Sultan Khanum, the daughter of Mirza Muhammad Khan Munshi Bashi, and Mirza Hasan Khan Mukarram al-Sultan, the son of Aqa Muhammad Sadiq Aqa the merchant from Kashan. The mahr is a Qurʼan, a Kashmir shawl, a diamond ring, and eight hundred tumans. Part of the mahr has been paid and the rest remains the groom's debt. The conditions of the marriage contract are the following: for five years, Qamar Sultan Khanum has the right to divorce if her husband is absent for more than a year, or does not pay living expenses. ‘Abd al-Husayn Mu‘azzaz al-Mulk to Surur al-Saltanah
‘Abd al-Husayn Mu‘azzaz al-Mulk (Taymurtash) writes to Surur al-Saltanah and tells her that he is sending her a shawl, a turquoise ring, a pair of diamond earrings, and a turbah that he has blessed in Khurasan; he had purchased them all in Mashhad. There is a seal of Surur al-Saltanah, on the top dated 1327 [AH].

Love letters of ‘Abd al-Husayn Mu‘azzaz al-Mulk (Taymurtash), son of Karim Dad Khan, to Surur al-Saltanah, daughter of Zarrin Kulah Khanum and Khazin al-Mulk, accompanied by some envelopes and part of a letter, probably from Surur al-Saltanah to Mu‘azzaz al-Mulk. These letters were most likely written during the time between their ‘Aqd (formal contract of marriage) and ‘Arusi (marriage celebration and consummation), while Surur al-Saltanah was living in Tehran and Mu‘azzaz al-Mulk was traveling between Tehran and Khurasan; the letters have also been separately included in this collection;...
